In therapy I believe the biggest predictor of change is the strength within the therapeutic relationship. Because of this, I work from a person centered and trauma informed lens in my practice. Often times, I have been asked how I am able to do the work that I do. I feel honored to bear witness to a person’s process of growth and change. I feel lucky to be a helper along a person’s path of self discovery. Part of creating a strong relationship is being open and genuine, below is some additional information about myself and my values.

I am an artist who works in multiple media, with a passion for painting. Some other things that give me joy include photography, creating and enjoying food made with love, traveling to new places, being in nature and hunting for sea shells. In my down time I enjoy recharging and spending time with family, friends, and the animals in our lives.

Working with children from a trauma-informed perspective is one of my specializations. I believe in one way or another, most of us have experienced some sort of trauma in our lives. I have extensive experience working with foster children and their families. If you, your child or family has experienced trauma that is interfering with your or their ability to enjoy life, a trauma-focused therapeutic approach may be helpful.

I also have specialized training in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy) which is an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents impacted by trauma.

Rates and Fees: $160 per 60-minute session. 

Sliding Scale: I offer a couple of spots for those who can’t pay the full fee. These are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Insurance: I now take Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance. I am still working towards being in network with Ambetter, and Qualchoice insurances.
